We can then save the spreadsheet as a table in Word and modify it further using the Word software to produce the table as shown again below.
Simple descriptive tables can easily be produced in this way for the final report without having to type the contents again from scratch.

The table shows that mean milk offtakes varied almost two-fold across the eight regions from a mean of 248 kg in Ruheng to a mean of 444 kg in Kanyan. Thus, to rank cows based on their lactation offtakes we need to take into account the herd group (and also the herd) to which they belong.
We shall now undertake analyses of variance on TOYLD and YLD210 to adjust for herd effects.
